Windows are over-rated because most people do use them. Some of the BIG reasons for this is because they cost less than Macs, and have more avalible software. About Virtual PC:
A Mac can do ANYTHING a Windows PC can do. Virtual PC is an emulation program that lets you use Windows software, access Windows-formatted disks, connect to Windows networks (you can do that anyway in the Mac OS X Finder), and play almost any Windows computer game. A Note About Mac OS X and Unix:
Mac OS X (10) is really a Unix operating system with a GUI graphic-interface over it. The reason that Apple based it on Unix is because Unix is the most powerful, advanced, sturdy operating system in the world. Compared to the graphic-interface over MS-DOS program in Windows, it doesn't even come close to how great Apple has covered up the Unix program. This is a HUGE advantage OS X has over XP. A Note About Your Opinion:
You have your own opinion. Right now I am trying to persuade you that Macs have more
advantages over PCs than PCs have over Macs.

Advantages Macs have over PCs:
1. Most easiest to use, most powerful computer system in the world
2. No viruses (Never have been before, Anti-Virus software not needed AT ALL)
3. Look cooler/beautiful/better (PCs are just big fat beige and black boxes with cheap plastic covering over them)
4. User friendly, not as many problems/error messages than PCs (For people who want to spend more time enjoying life
and getting what ever they want done than trying to fix problems on their computers)
5. Easier to setup (Mac setup time: Less than 10 minutes, PC setup time: More than an hour)
6. Cost less technically (Initial price is more, but over time you spend more money on software/hardware for PCs than Macs)
7. Faster processors, better speed performance,
G4 can process 30,000 more calculations per second than the fastest Pentium 4, has less pipelines (steps)
8. Loaded with extra stuff (All neccisary hardware and software included and more than enough add-on software)
9. No drivers needed to be installed (All built in to system)
10. Digital video friendly (FireWire 800, iMovie 3, Final Cut Express/Pro)
11. PC compatible, can recognize all PC disks/networks (Connectix Virtual PC 6 can run PC programs and games)
12. Digital media friendly applications (iLife)
13. More realiable because based on Unix (Never or close to never freeze, stall, or crash)
14. For flexible users (From beginners to experts, even Unix geeks)
15. More organized system and setup (My Computer?!?!)
16. Better possible graphics, smoother graphics rendering (up to 130 fps!)
17. Crystal clear graphics, Aqua interface (with 128x128 bit desktop icons)
18. Better user and system interface (No doubt about that ;-)

Here are some BIG advantages PCs have over Macs:
1. They cost less (See first clipping for debate)
2. They have more business programs (See third clipping for debate)
3. They have more and better games (See second clipping for debate)

Here are a few clippings from some of the links listed above (and some from myself):

1. Windows and Mac computers are now almost equal in cost. Whereas you can buy a Windows based PC for $500, you will not get the multimedia hardware and software that you will want and need. In fact, to do so would cost equal or more to the cost of a Mac. You would also end up spending more than you would on a Mac just to get software that could come close to doing what iLife does (which comes bundled free with all new Macs).

2. There are a lot more Mac games than you think. You just never hear or see about many of them as much as PC games. I have downloaded 200 alone just off the internet. Plus with VPC, you can run thousands of computer games right on your Mac. Doesn't matter what platform.

Myth: The software I need isn’t available for Macs.

Fact: There are over 15,000 applications available for the Mac, in every category imaginable. Productivity programs from Microsoft Office to FileMaker. Design programs from Photoshop to Maya . Filmmaking tools from Final Cut Pro to After Effects. Finance programs from Quicken to MYOB . And games from The Sims to Tony Hawk . But if you do encounter that rare program which isn’t available for Mac, you can still run it right on your Mac using Virtual PC . Still think there’s something you’re missing?
